Julian is business development professional with over 18 years international experience in Telecoms, ICT, Cleantech, Education, NGO and FMCG sectors.He has held senior sales roles with Diageo in Germany, Ericsson, Telecom New Zealand and is former Head of Operations for ECDL Foundation. He has also worked as Head of Industry Engagement for The Green Way, Dublin’s Cleantech cluster.

Synopsis:Business Angel investing in Ireland forms an integral part of the seed funding landscape in Ireland. Since its inception in 2008, the Halo Business Network, as the only formal network of business angels in Ireland, has overseen private Angel investment in Irish business of over €70M. In 2016 over €13M of Angel money was invested in 50 companies. This short presentation will outline the business Angel funding landscape in Ireland, highlighting how it works, what companies are suited to it and what Angels are looking for when investing seed capital in companies.
