John McKiernan

John McKiernan is Head of External Collaboration at ESB. He is responsible for developing strategic partnerships to find innovative solutions for the key challenges & opportunities facing the Irish power utility. He is also a power sector investment specialist with over 20 years of international development experience. He recently completed a 5 year placement as Partner at Greencoat Capital - the adviser to ESB’s €200m novusmodus venture capital fund.
Prior to that, he has enjoyed a number of roles at ESB International including .Corporate investment manager,Head of trading for Northern Ireland, European business development manager and Regional Office Director in Japan.
